DESCRIPTION
Port Ellen 39 Year Old is one of the rarest and most valuable whiskies from the Port Ellen distillery, which closed in 1983. This release was distilled in 1978 and matured for 39 years before bottling, resulting in a rich and complex single malt whisky, with strong flavours of peat smoke and aged oak.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Strong aromas of smoke, peat, vanilla, and a hint of ripe fruit.
- Taste: Rich flavours of peat smoke, butterscotch, honey, and aged oak, combined with a hint of dried fruit sweetness.
