DESCRIPTION
The Macallan Edition No.1 is the first in the Edition range, launched in 2015, and celebrates the different types of oak casks used in the Macallan maturation process. It is made from eight different types of oak casks, each of which imparts its own unique flavours, resulting in a complex and multi-dimensional whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Dried fruit, honey, almonds, and a touch of oak.
- Taste: Honey sweetness, dried fruit, liquorice, and oak.
- Aftertaste: Long and complex, with notes of dried fruit, oak, and spice.
