DESCRIPTION
Talisker Storm was launched in 2013, the beginning of the NAS (No Age Statement) craze. It can be considered the pioneer product of the entire Diageo group in whisky without age, opening the way for the unexpected success of later products. Also inspired by the distillery's slogan "Made by the sea", Talisker Storm is almost identical to the traditional 10-year-old version, except that it does not have an age statement and uses a portion of whisky matured in re-charred Ex-Bourbon casks.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Salty smoke, brine and black pepper with sweet malt, honey, apple, syrup and biscuit.
- Taste: Salty taste of brine, mild spicy black pepper and peat smoke throughout, with the sweetness of honey.
- Aftertaste: Quite long with honey sweetness and rich smoky aroma.
