DESCRIPTION
Talisker 40 Year Old is one of the most rare and prestigious whiskies from the Talisker distillery, introduced as part of the "Bodega Series" collection. Released in 2018, this version is matured in European oak casks used for Sherry from the famous Spanish Sherry producers. With only a very limited release, Talisker 40Y offers a rich and deep flavour, representing the great maturity of whisky from the Isle of Skye.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Deep aromas of dried fruit, roasted cashews, and warm spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Characteristic peat smoke with notes of old oak and honey.
- Taste: Smooth and complex with sweet notes of dried fruit, caramel and dark chocolate, light smoke and old oak.
- Aftertaste: Long, warm and rich, with a combination of pepper, smoke, and a hint of honey and vanilla sweetness.
