Original Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Rum is an ode to the legendary Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, a Navy vet who is often called the father of American Tattoo culture. Norman Collins was a prophetic icon of the counterculture movement, an artist whose widespread influence on tattooing still lives on today, nearly 50 years later.

Inspired and educated by the old masters of Japanese tattooing, Collins brought the art form back to America and combined ancient traditions with his own artistic flare to create something entirely new. A rum drinker until his death, Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Rum is a ballad written in Collins’ honor: the age-old tradition of extremely spicy rum blended and developed in such a way as to create the perfect spirit for mixing and creating new cocktails with new flavors.

Sailor Jerry’s Spiced has a wonderful aroma of black cherry, caramel, tobacco with a touch of fine spices such as cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and pepper. With a sweetness of brown sugar and herbs like fresh grass, then a layer of warm and strong spices. Finishing with a rich flavor of chocolate, leaving a deep and impressive aftertaste.
