DESCRIPTION

Opus One is a collaboration between Robert Mondavi, one of California’s most renowned winemakers, and Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Bordeaux. The collaboration began in 1980, with the goal of creating a Bordeaux-style wine produced in Napa Valley. The wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec grapes.

The wine has a deep red color, with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and a touch of spice and dried fruit. On the palate, the wine exhibits smooth tannins, rich fruit flavors combined with oak, vanilla, and chocolate, creating a long and luxurious finish.
