Gin Monkey 47 Schwarzwald, although rediscovered a decade ago, is now available in over 50 countries on four continents. The brand takes its name from the 47 botanicals that are incorporated into the spirit and from Max, a monkey that Montgomery Collins adopted while helping to reestablish the Berlin Zoo. Gin Monkey 47 Schwarzwald has a sweet berry/juniper aroma and fresh citrus peel. Then, new notes of pine needles, lavender and cloves are revealed. On the palate, Gin Monkey 47 Schwarzwald starts soft and sweet, gradually strengthening and culminating with a burst of spicy pepper on the palate. The middle notes are dry and oily with juniper, lavender, pine needles and spices. A complex mouthfeel adds freshness to the traditional flavors.
