Laphroaig Lore is the culmination of the tradition, knowledge and experience passed down through generations of craftsmen at the Laphroaig distillery. The name “Lore” (which means “knowledge” or “lore”) represents a tribute to the whisky making secrets passed down through the years, as well as the exquisite art of blending that Laphroaig is committed to.

The uniqueness of Laphroaig Lore lies in the maturation process in a variety of casks, including American oak casks that have previously held bourbon, Oloroso Sherry casks, and a number of other casks. This combination results in a whisky with many layers of complex flavours. You can feel the characteristic smoky flavour of Islay peat, mixed with the sweet notes of vanilla from the American oak casks, along with the richness of dried fruits and spices from the Oloroso Sherry casks.
