DESCRIPTION
Lagavulin 1992 - 28 Year Old is a rare and limited edition, distilled in 1992 and matured in oak casks for 28 years. This long maturation gives the whisky a wonderful complexity of flavours and aromas, with a strong smoky note and the characteristic Islay saltiness.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Deep peat smoke, charred oak, with dried fruit and honey. A touch of vanilla and baking spices.
- Taste: Strong and complex with strong smoke, oak, with dried fruit, honey and a touch of sea salt. Spicy spices and a touch of liquorice.
- Aftertaste: Long and robust with smoke, black pepper, and lingering warmth of oak and liquorice.
