DESCRIPTION
Kilikanoon was founded in 1997 by Kevin Mitchell, a passionate winemaker with a desire to highlight the quality of grapes and winemaking techniques in the Clare Valley. The word “Covenant” means a pledge or promise. It reflects Kilikanoon’s strong commitment to quality and excellence in every bottle of wine. Covenant Shiraz is made from grapes from Kilikanoon’s finest vineyards, reflecting the dedication and skill of the production team.
This wine opens with rich aromas of ripe black fruits such as plums and strawberries, along with spicy notes such as black pepper and cinnamon. The oak aging brings out notes of vanilla, chocolate and a slight smokiness. The wine is full-bodied and soft with smooth tannins, finishing with a long and emotional finish.
