DESCRIPTION
Glenlivet Captain's Reserve is a special whisky finished in oak casks previously used in Cognac, creating a refined combination of the traditional Glenlivet whisky flavours and the richness and fullness of Cognac. Named in honour of Captain William Smith Grant, who led the distillery through difficult times in the early 20th century.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Rich aromas of raisins, honey, and hints of fruit such as pear and orange.
- Taste: Rich flavours of ripe fruit, honey, dark chocolate and a touch of spice from the Cognac.
- Aftertaste: Long and smooth, with a combination of fruity and sweet honey.
