DESCRIPTION

Elderton Estate is a renowned family winery in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, founded in 1979 by Neil and Lorraine Ashmead. The story of Elderton began when Neil and Lorraine decided to revive a neglected vineyard, with a vision to bring the area back to its golden age of winemaking. They purchased the estate with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards over 100 years old, which were already renowned for their top quality grapes.

The wine has a deep red colour, aromas of raspberries, blueberries, along with spices, dark chocolate and a touch of oak. On the palate, the wine offers a feeling of strong but smooth tannins, rich fruit, combined with flavors of black pepper, vanilla and oak, creating an impressive and long finish.
