DESCRIPTION
Cardhu 11Y Special Release 2020, dubbed the Queen of Speyside Malts, reflects the generous spirit of founder Helen Cumming and the industrious bees pollinating the heather on the summer hillsides. This whisky is clean, elegant and perfectly balanced, produced in small batches and matured in new, refill and ex-bourbon American oak casks, creating sweet floral and spicy tones in the exchange between the wood and the whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh orchard pear, green apple, grape and pineapple combined with traces of lemon peel, with a light mossy background.
- Taste: Creamy texture, rich sweetness, buttery. The spicy notes are reminiscent of hot cross buns, sweet and spicy with pepper.
- Finish: Quite long, with a lingering warmth with a touch of white pepper.
