DESCRIPTION
Octomore 13.1 is a young and dynamic whisky, rich in smoke and distilled from the 2015 harvest of 100% Scottish Mainland barley. With a barley pressure of 137.3 PPM and matured in the finest American oak casks, Octomore 13.1 offers a rich and complex experience.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet smoke, barley sugar, ripe fruit (apricot, pear), vanilla, Crème Brulee, honey, coconut, almonds, charred oak
- Taste: Smoked nuts, granola with honeyed fruit, smoked apricot jam, barley flour, peat, charred heather, citrus, crushed oak, sugared almonds, chocolate
- Finish: Fading sweetness, earthy aftertaste, moss, dry peat smoke, salty citrus, geranium and rose.
