DESCRIPTION
Octomore 11.1 is an exceptional single malt whisky from the Bruichladdich distillery on the island of Islay. It is characterised by its high peat content but is delicately balanced and not overpowering. Octomore 11.1 is matured for 5 years and is distilled from Scottish Concerto and Propino barley. Matured in first-fill American whisky casks from Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam and Heaven Hill.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Lemon, wet peat, pencil shavings and salty minerality, peach yoghurt, toffee, rubbery notes
- Taste: Complex with stone fruits such as apricot, peach yoghurt, sweet vanilla, toasted oak, brown sugar and soft toffee. Sea, mineral and citrus flavours are also evident.
- Finish: Long finish with malt flavours, big peat notes, earthy and oily, tarry. Vanilla honey, ginger spice and syrupy sweetness.
