DESCRIPTION
Octomore 10.3 is an exceptional single malt Scotch whisky from Bruichladdich Distillery's esteemed range. For this release in the Octomore 10 range, the barley used comes from a single field on a farm on the island of Islay. Octomore 10.3 is matured entirely in American oak casks and bottled after 6 years at 61.3% ABV. The Octomore 10 explores the concept of "lighter smoke", with a peat level of 114 PPM.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Earthy, dry peat smoke with a hint of medicinal, lemon drops and thyme, along with a touch of vanilla and soft oak.
- Taste: Bright citrus and green apple on the opening, then developing more marine notes and a touch of burnt sugar.
- Finish: Long finish with plenty of peat lingering.
