DESCRIPTION

Braulio Amaro is made in the true Alpine style from a venerable estate started by Francesco Peloni over a century ago. Located in Valtellina, close to the Swiss border, this amaro is created from a secret recipe of over 20 mountain herbs and plants, collected and used to create a unique flavour. Forest, herbaceous and piney notes combine with distinct floral and menthol notes, providing a high concentration with a hint of medicinal spice, reminiscent of the original purpose of the ancient potions. The wine has a refreshing, characteristic bitter taste.

On the nose, you will recognize the typical alpine flavours of cloves, liquorice and blackberries. On the palate, Braulio Amaro offers flavours of dried fruits, gentian, juniper, mint and bark. This drink is more bitter than many other amaros but still has a pleasant sweetness. Its aroma is like the mountains, reminiscent of childhood family hikes. It is a popular after-meal drink in Italy, often enjoyed over ice.
