Benromach Distillery has released the Benromach 40 Year Old - 2022 on 19 July 2022, with just over 1000 bottles of the single malt whisky available to whisky lovers around the world. The launch follows the prestigious Best In Show award for Benromach 40 Year Old at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022.

Bottled at 57.6% ABV and natural in colour, the Benromach 40 Year Old, 2022 release has spent over four decades maturing in Sherry casks. This combination results in a refined and distinctive single malt whisky, the distillery’s oldest release to date. Matured in top quality sherry casks, this is a unique whisky with complex and refined flavour profiles. Benromach 40 Year Old offers a refined experience with aromatic spices and stewed red berries, followed by Morello cherries, dark chocolate and mature oak.

Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Cinnamon spice, aromatic ginger, Seville oranges and stewed red berries with a touch of roasted hazelnuts.
- Palate: Sweet Morello cherries combined with baked apples and liquorice, rich dark chocolate, fruitcake and subtle black pepper.
- Finish: Full of forest fruits and mature oak.
